Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Brewer to join our brewing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food processing and manufacturing, with a focus on brewing operations. This role involves overseeing the brewing process, ensuring quality standards, and maintaining a clean and safe production environment. The successful applicant will bring mechanical knowledge, food safety expertise, and a commitment to sanitation to support our craft and production goals.
Responsibilities
- Operate brewing equipment and oversee the entire brewing process from mash to fermentation and packaging
- Manage packaging operations, including kegging, bottling, and labeling of finished products
- Utilize forklifts for moving raw materials and finished goods safely within the facility
- Maintain strict sanitation standards throughout all stages of production to ensure food safety compliance
- Conduct routine maintenance and mechanical troubleshooting on brewing equipment
- Monitor quality control parameters, including temperature, pH, and other critical measurements
- Perform basic math calculations related to ingredient measurements, batch sizes, and yield tracking
- Follow all safety protocols related to food processing and manufacturing environments
- Assist in inventory management of raw materials and packaging supplies
Experience
- Proven experience in brewing or beverage production with references
- Familiarity with packaging processes specific to beverage or food products
- Mechanical knowledge related to brewing equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
- Strong understanding of sanitation procedures critical for food safety compliance
- Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations applicable to beverage production
