iGaming Ontario is an agency of the Government of Ontario responsible for conducting and managing the Province’s regulated internet gaming (iGaming) market. Established in July 2021, iGaming Ontario works with private gaming operators and government stakeholders to deliver a safe, sustainable, and healthy market that operates in the public interest.

Departmental Summary
The Responsible Gaming and Agency Compliance department at iGaming Ontario is passionate about promoting a safer, entertaining online gaming experience. Through program development, research, and policy insights, our team is dedicated to ensuring that Ontarians can play safer with confidence.
Work Description
Supporting the Responsible Gaming team, you may have the opportunity to work on some or all of the following activities:
- Track emerging responsible gambling (RG) trends and initiatives and create environmental scans.
- Stay abreast of relevant RG and problem gambling (PG) research and create research summaries and implications/recommendations for iGO.
- Support stakeholder consultations and engagement initiatives with online gaming operators and the RG community.
- Assist in coordinating on-campus college/university RG/BetGuard presentations.
- Support optimizing iGaming Ontario’s process related to RG Check and use of findings.
- Coordinate internal iGaming Ontario employee RG culture building activities.
How do I qualify?
- Enrolled in a college or university program in political science, sociology, psychology, or public policy.
- Analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to synthesize complex information into clear insights and recommendations.
- Stakeholder relationship skills with the ability to effectively engage with a diverse group of stakeholders.
- Ability to develop high-quality presentations and briefing materials.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Mandatory
You must meet all eligibility criteria by the first day of employment:
1. Co-op Student Status: Enrolled as a full-time post-secondary student in a co-operative education program at a recognized institution.
2. Work Environment: You must be living in the province of Ontario during the term of employment and you are required to work in office 5 days a week.
3. Work Status: Eligible to work in Canada.
