Junior Painter/Prepper-Body Shop
Carrier Truck Centers, requires a knowledgeable, self-motivated and career-minded, Painter /Prepper to join our team in our Body Shop in our Brantford, Ontario location. The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a fast paced environment, while delivering outstanding customer service to both internal and external customers.

What’s a day like as an Automotive Painter/Prepper?
- Completes paint preparation process for vehicles according to factory specifications and company policies.
- Paint vehicles to company specifications.
- Able to properly sand and prep vehicle for paint and new parts, properly sand and featheredge surface for primer and block panels for refinishing.
- Thoroughly reviews each repair order prior to beginning work on vehicle
- Maintain equipment and report to supervisor any defect in equipment or protective device.
- Follows all environmental procedures when handling environmentally sensitive products.
- Ensures the Paint and Collision Center is kept in a clean and orderly fashion.
- Complete daily records of paint materials and Isocyanates and submit weekly to appropriate supervisor.
- Complies with all Carrier Centers’ policies and procedures including Health and Safety Policies and Procedures and the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
Who is our ideal candidate?
- 3-5 years of experience in body work maintenance, paint and prep procedure is required.
- Auto Body Repair certificate would be considered an asset.
- Valid “G” license with a clean drivers abstract.
- Ability to provide excellent customer service while demonstrating strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must have strong organizational skills, a high attention to detail and ability to work in a fast paced environment.
- Must be able to wear protective equipment, including respirator usage.
Hours: 7:00am-3:30pm
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $30.00-$32.00 per hour
Licence/Certification:
- Auto Body Repair Certification (preferred)
- Class G Licence (required)
