Mount 7 Lodges is a year round lodge operation a short drive south of Golden, BC. Located on over 60 acres of private land our three lodges are offered to guests for short term rental. Each lodge offers guests accommodation with comfortable bedrooms, ensuite bathrooms and large living areas including full kitchens, dining areas and living rooms. Each lodge also has a private deck with its own hot tub, BBQ and two of the lodges have fire pits for guest use.
Developed and owned by a couple (Jo-Anne and Dave Best), after 20 years in business we now have an opportunity for one or two people to join us in a role(s) cleaning the lodges and maintaining the property. In addition, the ideal candidate(s) will evolve into a role helping us run the business.
Employment Options
This role(s) can be a full time position for the Spring, Summer and Fall and a part-time role for the winter months. From May to October we are able to offer 40 to 50 hours per week and for the remainder of the year circa 30 hours per week. Anyone taking on the role for the full 12 months would be encouraged to take any long vacations during the winter months (when it is quieter) although short breaks during the Summer months can be accommodated.
As the responsibilities and remuneration are not sufficient to support two people in full time work, it is expected that this role will either suit one person who has a broad range of skills and is looking for an equivalent to a full-time role, or it will suit two people who wish to split the role between them, and allow them to have time for other work or personal commitments.
The Role(s)
This year round role (or roles) will work independently as well as alongside the owners to support and assist them across all day-to-day operations. The majority and priority of the role is cleaning the lodges. The additional responsibilities are secondary to this. The position requires that the individual(s) who take on the role live on the property in a log house that is available for long term rental. Please contact us with questions or to apply. The start date is flexible. The right person/people are more important. There is a two bedroom house on the property for the employee. The total monthly rent for the entire house is $1500 (which we are subsidizing to be lower than the market rate of over $2000) based on two occupants. If a single applicant is successful, and is happy sharing the house, their rent would be $750 per month and we would rent a second bedroom in the house to an additional tenant for the remainder of the rent.
