Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles to transport freight and equipment across various routes. This role offers the opportunity to work with a dynamic team, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining high safety standards.
Duties
- Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) equipment, or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions
- Address customers' complaints or concerns
- Professionalism in customer service
- Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
- Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
- Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
- Perform preventive maintenance
- Receive and relay information to central dispatch
- Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
- Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for accurate record keeping
- This position requires a dedicated professional committed to safety, efficiency, and excellent service delivery.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $36.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 per week
