Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Live-In Supportive Roommate to provide assistance and companionship to a male In his mid to late twenties. This role involves fostering a safe, respectful, and engaging environment while supporting daily activities and promoting independence. The ideal candidate will have experience or interest in special education, caregiving, and working with diverse populations. Strong communication skills and the ability to administer medication responsibly are essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities
- Assist individual with daily living activities such as meal preparation, and household chores
- Support participation in community outings, recreational activities, and social events
- Provide companionship to promote emotional well-being and reduce feelings of isolation
- Administer medications as prescribed, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to safety protocols
- Communicate effectively using verbal skills
- Monitor health status and report any concerns or changes to healthcare professionals or patents
- Maintain a respectful, patient, and positive environment that encourages independence and self-confidence
Skills
- Experience or training in special education or caregiving preferred
- Working with individuals with disabilities, demonstrating patience and understanding
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and family
- Ability to administer medications safely following prescribed guidelines
- Compassionate attitude with a commitment to supporting independence and dignity of individual served
- Reliable, responsible, and attentive to detail in all aspects of care and support
Pay: $4,454.64 per month
