Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest services, ensure food safety and sanitation standards are maintained, and contribute to a welcoming dining environment. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, managing guest interactions, and supporting overall restaurant operations to provide a memorable dining experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS.
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling duties.
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales.
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are strictly followed during food handling and serving.
- Assist in food preparation and kitchen support as needed to ensure smooth service flow.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve multiple tables promptly.
- Provide excellent guest services by addressing questions, special requests, and feedback professionally.
- Maintain cleanliness of service areas, tables, and dining spaces according to sanitation guidelines.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of POS systems, especially Micros POS, is a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Ability to handle food safely and adhere to sanitation standards.
- Basic math skills for cashiering and transaction management.
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy hours.
- Knowledge of food industry practices, including food handling, preparation, and serving techniques.
- Experience in hospitality or guest services is advantageous.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
