Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Full-Time Class 5 Driver to join our team. This role involves operating commercial vehicles to transport goods efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a focus on customer service, and experience in warehouse operations and heavy lifting. Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 5 vehicles for local deliveries and pickups
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts or manual handling, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement
- Assist with moving goods within the warehouse, utilizing forklift equipment when necessary
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse staff, and customers to coordinate schedules and resolve issues promptly
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs to ensure safety compliance
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing client inquiries professionally
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during daily operations
Experience
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Air break license required.
- Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably within a warehouse or logistics environment
- Familiarity with forklift operation and warehouse moving procedures is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and customers
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently as part of daily tasks
- Prior experience in customer service roles is a plus, emphasizing professionalism and reliability
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
