Cloverdale Paint has an immediate opening at our Head Office for an Accounts Receivable Clerk in Surrey BC.
Reporting to the Corporate Credit Manager, this position is responsible for cash application, reconciliations and other functions related to customer accounts within the Accounts Receivable / Credit area
This is a full-time position that requires availability Monday to Friday.
Wage is negotiable depending on previous experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Applications of payments received at branches
- Manual A/R account adjustments
- Account reconciliations and account clean-up, including credits
- Cheque requests and bank deposits
- Liaise with customers to provide support in different areas
- Posting of EFTs, online payments, credit card payments and all items related to credit card transactions
- Assist with till close posting to the general ledger
- Month-end close process for Accounts Receivable
- Provide general Accounts Receivable support and payment application guidance to branches
- Vacation and sick leave coverage for Accounts Receivable team members
- Reception relief as needed
- Other duties within the accounting/finance as required
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 2+ years’ experience in an accounting related position
- Accounts Receivable collection call experience / Customer service experience
- Capable of working effectively with customers, sales team and other departments
- Understanding of accounting and general office procedures
- Ability to work independently and/or within a team atmosphere
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and an ability to give great attention to small details
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Honest, respectful, trustworthy, with a positive working attitude
