Position Overview:
Bartenders at The Post deliver an exceptional and memorable guest experience by crafting and serving high-quality beverages with precision and flair, ensuring that the standards of the high-end services are consistently met.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create and serve a diverse range of beverages, including cocktails, wines, and non-alcoholic drinks, with attention to detail and presentation.
- Provide personalized recommendations to guests based on their preferences and menu offerings.
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Handle cash transactions, process payments accurately, and manage the till.
- Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
- Collaborate with kitchen and service staff to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new ingredients, and mixology techniques.
- Adhere to responsible alcohol service guidelines and ensure guest safety.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of the beverage menu.
- Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies.
- Assist with weekly beverage arrivals and storage thereof.
- Other duties as requested by guests and/or management.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience as a Bartender in a high-end restaurant or similar upscale establishment.
- Extensive knowledge of various beverages, cocktails, and wine pairings.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with grace and efficiency.
- Understanding of responsible alcohol service practices and regulations.
- Strong multitasking and organizational abilities.
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Certification in responsible beverage service is an asset.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds.
