MatrixHR is hiring Traffic Control Flaggers for a variety of immediate work in Calgary, AB.
Pay: $21/hr
Summary:
- Responsible for controlling and directing traffic at construction sites, events, or other locations to ensure the safe and efficient flow of vehicles.
- Monitor and control traffic flow by directing vehicles and pedestrians at intersections or construction sites.
- Set up traffic control signs, cones, and barriers to redirect traffic away from work areas.
- Communicate with drivers and pedestrians to provide instructions and ensure compliance with traffic regulations.
- Coordinate with other traffic control personnel to ensure a smooth flow of traffic.
- Maintain a safe work environment with protocols and proper protective equipment.
- Keep preparing reports as required.
- Strong communication skills with drivers, pedestrians, and other traffic control personnel.
- Ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations.
- Solving challenges and ensuring the safety of all individuals involved.
- Attention to detail to accurately set up signs, cones, and barriers in accordance with traffic control plans.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and work in various weather conditions.
Qualifications:
- Flaggers must have experience working in the field for at least 2 weeks.
- Previous Construction experience.
- Valid flagging ticket.
