Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Auto Glass Technician to join our automotive service team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and replacing auto glass with precision and care. This role requires a strong understanding of automotive systems, excellent hand-eye coordination, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Previous dealership experience and mechanical knowledge are highly valued to ensure quality service and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Remove damaged or broken auto glass safely and efficiently
- Install new windshields and auto glass using appropriate tools and techniques
- Inspect vehicles for additional damages or issues related to glass installation
- Use hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting equipment to complete installations
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers regarding service procedures
Skills
- Dealership experience or automotive repair background preferred
- Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle systems and auto glass components
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and other automotive repair equipment
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely during glass installation or removal
- Experience with automotive repair processes is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
