We are seeking a passionate, flexible, and experienced Early Childhood Educator (Float) to join our dedicated team. Qualifications & Experience
Required:
- Valid BC ECE Certificate (5-Year ECE, ECE Infant/Toddler, or ECE Special Needs)
- Infant/Toddler certification preferred
- ECEA applicants will not be considered for this position
- Current Criminal Record Check
- Valid Emergency Child Care First Aid Certificate (or higher)
- Current FoodSafe Certificate
- Minimum two years of experience working as a fully certified ECE in a licensed group childcare setting in British Columbia

Schedule & Availability
- This position requires flexibility and adaptability.
- Availability to work any shift between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
- Most shifts are 8 hours in length with a 1-hour unpaid break (7 paid hours)
- Occasional 9-hour shifts may be required to meet operational needs
- Guaranteed 35 hours per week, regardless of staff and children attendance
- Ability to adjust scheduled shifts on short notice when necessary
Physical Requirements
- Working in early childhood education is active and hands-on. Successful candidates must be able to:
- Stand for extended periods
- Sit on the floor or in child-sized furniture
- Bend, kneel, and move frequently throughout the day
- Lift up to 50 lbs when required
- Work in an environment where exposure to common childhood illnesses may occur
Compensation
- ECE: $22.44/hour plus Provincial Wage Enhancement
- ECE Infant/Toddler: $22.95/hour plus Provincial Wage Enhancement (when working as a Float or in the Under 3 Program)
