Pay
- CA$22.00/hour – $198.00 for the day (9-hour shift)
- Paid bi-weekly
- Freelance Independent Contractor
- No tax is deducted from your payment. You will receive your full earnings, and as an independent contractor, you are responsible for reporting and remitting any applicable taxes in accordance with Canadian tax laws.
About the Opportunity
One World Rental is hiring a reliable Event Driver to support the internationally renowned Candlelight Concert Experience by Fever.
This is a one-day freelance assignment with excellent opportunities for future event work across BC. We're looking for someone who is comfortable driving a U-Haul truck and assisting with transporting event equipment.
Responsibilities
- Drive a U-Haul truck to and from the event venue.
- Safely transport event equipment.
- Load and unload light event materials, including candles, wiring, signage, and other event equipment.
- Assist the onsite team during setup and derig.
- Follow directions from the Event Lead to ensure the event runs smoothly.
- Handle equipment with care and maintain a professional attitude throughout the shift.
Requirements
- Valid British Columbia Class 5 Driver's Licence with a clean driving record.
- Comfortable driving a U-Haul truck.
- Able to lift and move light event equipment.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional.
- Good communication skills.
- Previous driving or event experience is an asset but not required.
