Overview
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Greenhouse & Retail Associate to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with people, have a passion for plants and the outdoors, and are comfortable working in an active, hands-on environment. Prior plant or retail experience is not required; a positive attitude and a willingness to learn are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers and assist them with plant and product selection
- Learn and share basic plant care information with customers
- Operate the till and process customer transactions accurately
- Support greenhouse work including planting, watering, and general plant care
- Maintain clean, organized, and welcoming greenhouse and retail areas
- Assist with unloading deliveries, moving, and stocking plants and products
- Work collaboratively with team members to support daily garden centre operations
Requirements
- Friendly and approachable with a customer-focused mindset
- Comfortable being on your feet all day in an active role
- Able to perform physical work, including lifting and carrying plants and products as needed
- Comfortable working in greenhouse conditions, including hot temperatures during peak season
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow direction
- Previous retail, greenhouse, or horticultural experience is an asset but not required
