Overview
We are seeking an experienced Long Haul Truck Driver to join our transportation team. This role involves operating commercial trucks over long distances to deliver freight efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to handle various types of freight and equipment. This position offers an opportunity to work on challenging routes while maintaining a focus on timely deliveries and vehicle maintenance.
Duties
- Safely operate heavy-duty trucks across long-distance routes, ensuring timely deliveries of freight.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts and other heavy equipment as needed, adhering to safety protocols.
- Inspect vehicles regularly for maintenance needs and perform basic automotive repairs or coordinate repairs with maintenance teams.
- Secure freight properly to prevent damage during transit, utilizing appropriate tools and techniques.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle inspections.
- Comply with all federal, state, and company regulations related to commercial driving and transportation safety.
- Assist with warehouse operations when not on the road, including freight handling and inventory management.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Experience in freight transportation and long-haul driving preferred.
- Knowledge of forklift operation and heavy equipment handling is a plus.
- Basic automotive repair skills are advantageous for routine vehicle maintenance.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations related to commercial trucking and freight handling.
- Excellent navigation skills with familiarity in route planning across multiple states or regions.

Requirements:
- Valid Class 1 Driver’s License
- Minimum 1 year of long-haul driving experience
- Good driving record
