We are hiring for a Horticulture Services Manager to lead operations, sales, and team performance within a residential landscaping environment in Calgary.
This role is responsible for overseeing the Horticulture and Maintenance Division, including garden maintenance, tree pruning, and seasonal services. The position combines sales and operational leadership, ensuring strong divisional performance, high-quality service delivery, and a positive customer experience.
The successful candidate will lead multiple crews, support business development, and ensure operational efficiency while maintaining strong team engagement and accountability.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily operations of the Horticulture and Maintenance Division, ensuring efficiency, quality, and performance
- Oversee and support multiple field crews, providing leadership, direction, and performance management
- Generate and support sales across services including tree pruning, garden maintenance, seasonal work, and small projects
- Ensure sales align with operational capacity, production goals, and customer profiles
- Monitor production metrics, labor performance, and crew efficiency, addressing gaps as needed
- Maintain strong quality control standards and ensure customer expectations are consistently met
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, supporting customer retention and satisfaction
- Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate scheduling, operations, and service delivery
- Support hiring, onboarding, training, and development of team members
- Lead team meetings, safety discussions, and performance conversations
- Review payroll hours and support labor planning and budgeting activities
- Coordinate equipment needs, repairs, and inventory to ensure teams are properly equipped
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across operations, service delivery, and team performance
Requirements
- Experience leading landscape maintenance, horticulture, or similar service-based teams
- Strong knowledge of garden maintenance, plant care, pruning, and seasonal landscape services
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage teams, drive accountability, and support development
- Experience managing production, labor hours, and operational performance
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to balance sales, operations, and customer service responsibilities
- Experience with scheduling, payroll review, and operational planning
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- ISA Arborist Certification
- ISA Trac Certification

Pay: $100,000.00-$130,000.00 per year
