JOB TITLE: Payroll Clerk / Accounting Support
SCHEDULE: Part-time to start, three days per week; will transition to full-time hours in mid-fall

About the Role
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Payroll Clerk / Accounting Support professional to join our Accounting Department. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, accurate, comfortable working with numbers, and able to provide professional administrative and accounting support in a busy office environment.
The is an in-office position and will begin as a part-time, working three days per week and will transition to full-time hours in mid-fall. This is an 18-month temporary maternity leave position, with the potential to become permanent.
What You’ll Do
· Verify that timecards are received on time and hours verified.
· Process weekly payroll for between 10-100+ labour workers.
· Code payroll information and enter data into the payroll system.
· Ensure all banking information is correct and report to manage payments and deductions.
· Create supporting documentation such as payslips, records of employment and tax forms.
· Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies in a timely manner.
· Maintain and organize filing system.
· Respond professionally to payroll-related questions.
· Process customer or client orders, apply charges, and issue receipts.
· Respond to invoice requests and answer billing-related questions.
· Reconcile files, reports, or supporting documentation accurately and efficiently.
· Create customer or client invoices, including applicable charges, deposits, and final payments.
· Prepare daily totals, summaries, or reconciliation reports as required.
· Provide general clerical support to the Accounting Department, including filing, photocopying, data entry, and administrative tasks.
· Perform basic mathematical calculations with accuracy.

· Access to a vehicle is preferred.
