Role Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Intermediate or Senior Architectural Technologist to join our team of CTZN’s. The successful candidate will be responsible for taking the lead on the creation of detailed design and construction documents, working closely with both in-house teams and external partners. This role builds on solid technical skills and plays a key part in moving projects forward across different building types and stages. You will work on a variety of projects—from concept through to completion—collaborating with clients, contractors, and cross-functional teams.
This will be a full-time hybrid role for an Intermediate Architectural Technologist in Calgary, AB.
Key Responsibilities will include:
· Take a leading role in the production of drawing sets for permit and construction documentation.
· Review and contribute to the accuracy and quality of technical drawings and their coordination.
· Perform building code analyses and prepare subsequent reports.
· Conduct research on products, materials, and systems to inform technical detailing.
· Report on project progress to the Project Manager or Design Lead.
· Coordinate input from subconsultants under guidance from senior staff.
· Liaise with clients and municipal authorities as requested.
· Support submission processes for municipal approvals.
· Review and comment on shop drawings, submittals and RFI’s.
· Undertake site visits and file reports accordingly to project stakeholders.
· Provide guidance to junior team members and support their technical growth.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
· Diploma in Architectural Technology, or related field.
· 3–5+ years of professional experience as a technologist (consulting or firm experience preferred).
Technical Skills:
· Proficient in Revit, Autocad & Microsoft Office

· Strong visual, written, and verbal communication skills.
· Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
· High attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
· Strong interpersonal skills to manage client relationships.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $62,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Calgary, AB
