We are seeking a dedicated Part-time Dental Assistant to join our friendly dental practice. Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during various procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and setting up necessary supplies
- Manage patient records efficiently using Paradigm software
- Communicate dental terminology clearly to patients and team members
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinical area in compliance with health regulations
- Educate patients on post-treatment care and oral hygiene practices
Requirements
- Proven experience in dental assisting, with knowledge of dental procedures and protocols
- Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to dentistry
- Previous experience as a dental receptionist is advantageous
- Certification or training in dental assisting preferred but not required
- Ability to work part-time hours: Mondays 9AM -7PM, Saturdays 9AM-3PM
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care
