Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and reliable Class 1 Owner Operator Truck Driver to join our transportation team. This role involves operating heavy-duty trucks to transport freight efficiently and safely across various routes. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, experience with freight handling, and the ability to operate heavy equipment as needed. This position offers independence and the opportunity to manage your own schedule while ensuring timely delivery of goods.
Duties
- Safely operate Class 1 commercial trucks to transport freight over long and short distances
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Load and unload freight, utilizing forklift or other heavy equipment when necessary
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle logs
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting to address minor mechanical issues
- Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws during transportation activities
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery schedules and issues
- Assist with freight handling, including securing loads and ensuring proper weight distribution
Qualifications
- Valid Class 1 Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Experience in commercial driving, freight transportation, or related fields preferred
- Ability to operate forklift and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Knowledge of automotive repair basics is a plus
- Strong understanding of safety standards and regulations governing commercial trucking
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to adhere to schedules
- Physical ability to load/unload freight, lift heavy items, and perform vehicle inspections
- Prior experience with heavy equipment operation is advantageous

Pay: Up to $12,000.00 per month
