The Role
AFP currently has an exciting career opportunity in Oakville, Ontario, Canada, for an energetic, experienced, and knowledgeable Inside Sales Specialist to join our team. This role includes supporting, and developing sales with Distribution Partners, OEMs, and end users globally.
The successful candidate will provide quotations for process valve solutions as well as sales information, delivery details, and technical documentation when requested. The ability to provide effective and timely responses will be the key to succeeding in this role.
This is an important role in maintaining AFP’s high standard of customer service and an extensive knowledge of industrial valve products is required. This is a hands-on, in-office position that requires face-to-face interaction with internal team members.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide effective and timely responses to customer requests for pricing, technical information, delivery, and service
- Provide a high level of customer satisfaction and service
- Follow-up on outstanding quotes and opportunities in a timely manner
- Support the Outside Sales team with handling customer requests
- Assist with developing relationships for new and existing customers
- Contribute to the development and refinement of internal processes
- Provide feedback to the sales team regarding customer needs, application requirements, competition, and market trends
- Identify new sales opportunities
- Attend industry trade shows and exhibitions when required
- Perform all tasks in a safe and professional manner
Requirements:
- Independent, motivated, and driven to provide excellent customer service and support
- Bilingual (English and French) written and oral communication skills is an advantage
- Technically minded, with good knowledge of industrial process valves
- Organized, efficient, with good time-management skills
- Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize tasks
- Professional, punctual, and detail orientated
- Ability to travel internationally, if required
- Proficient in MS Office applications
- Familiarity with ERP systems
Education / Experience:
- Minimum of three to five (3-5) years experience of industrial valves and/or related products is required
- Distribution and industrial supply chain experience is preferred
- Strong technical/ Mechanical background is required
Work Environment:
- Fast paced, dynamic environment with deadlines and shifting priorities
- Daily, in-person attendance at AFP office in Oakville, Ontario
- Frequent communication with Outside Sales team, customers and distributors via phone, text, email, and teams meetings
- Attendance of in-person and online training when required
