Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Fence Installer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing various types of fencing systems, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency on each project. This role requires a strong understanding of construction practices and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team to deliver durable fencing solutions for our clients. We also complete various other types of installations including signage, guardrail, railings, timber retaining walls etc.
Duties
- Prepare the worksite by clearing areas, setting up necessary tools, and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Measure and mark fence lines accurately according to project plans.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely to dig post holes, set posts, and install fencing materials.
- Mix and pour concrete for post setting as required, ensuring proper curing times.
- Install various types of fencing/railings/guardrail including wood, vinyl, chain-link, or ornamental fences based on client specifications.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while maintaining high safety standards.
- Conduct quality checks throughout installation process to ensure fences meet industry standards and client expectations.
Skills
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding schematics related to construction projects.
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, concrete forming, masonry, welding, carpentry, and electrical systems is preferred.
- Knowledge of construction estimating and project planning is a plus.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely when necessary.
- Strong understanding of construction safety protocols and practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in measuring and installation tasks.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor including lifting heavy materials and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects in a dynamic environment while developing valuable skills in construction and fencing installation.
Pay: $22.00-$26.00 per hour
