We are a rapidly growing CNC machine shop in the Durham region, offering a great career opportunity for a CNC Saw Operator to join our team.
POSITION SUMMARY:
You will set up and operate C.N.C and saws. Properly load material onto the cutting bed using material handling equipment. Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments (such as micrometer, vernier calipers, gauges, or other specialized measuring instruments) Inspect pieces for quality and remove rough edges. Assist machine operators, material handlers and other workers with various duties involving physical handling of products, materials and equipment when required.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Set up and cut various materials to meet or exceed standards
Review drawings and specifications and tooling requirements for each job
Record all dimensions as required on drawings
Report any non-conformance dimensions on drawings or machines to Lead Hand
Operate machinery/equipment and work in a safe manner
Maintain a clean and neat work area and surrounding area
Assist with other tasks, projects, and departments as required
Carry out tasks/activities according to company & safety policies, standards.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
CNC Saw Operator with minimum 5 years’ experience preferred
Blueprint reading skills
Able to do own machine setups and programming
Other machine shop skills is an asset
Good communication skills
Self-motivated, willing to be trained
Bomar, Emmegi, Tiger Saw and Kasto experience an asset
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
