Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented General Labourer specializing in Flooring and Sod Installation to join our construction team. Duties
- Assist with the installation of flooring materials, including tile laying and other surface preparations
- Support sod installation and landscaping tasks to ensure proper placement and soil preparation
- Use hand tools such as hammers, saws, trowels, and levels to complete assigned tasks efficiently
- Read and interpret blueprints or project plans to ensure accurate execution of work
- Perform basic carpentry tasks related to framing, trimming, or adjustments as needed
- Apply caulking or sealants to ensure finished surfaces are properly sealed and weatherproofed
- Maintain a clean and organized work site by removing debris and ensuring safety protocols are followed
- Support handyman activities including minor repairs or adjustments on-site
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards
Experience
- Prior experience with construction projects, flooring installation, or landscaping is preferred
- Familiarity with hand tools, tile laying, blueprint reading, carpentry, and caulking is highly desirable
- Hands-on experience with sod installation or general landscaping tasks is a plus
- Previous handyman experience demonstrating versatility across various trades is advantageous
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift moderate loads as required
- Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and the ability to follow technical instructions accurately
