Front of House Support Team Member– Seasonal Full Time

Compensation: $23–$26/hour equivalent ($19 base plus shared tip pool)

Not Your Average Food Server Job
At Merridale, this role is part food runner, part floor support, part guest experience guide.
You’re not hidden in the background here. You’re out in the room, moving constantly, reading the energy of the space, helping service flow, and creating small moments that guests remember.
One moment you’re delivering a beautiful board to a table and describing where the ingredients came from. The next, you’re resetting a patio table so it feels welcoming for the next guests arriving. Then you’re pointing a couple toward a tasting experience, an upcoming event, or introducing them to one of our storytellers.
This is a role for someone who likes movement, people, and being part of a busy hospitality environment where every person contributes to the atmosphere.
The Role - Think of it as “guest experience support with momentum.”
You’ll help keep the restaurant flowing by running food, clearing and resetting tables, supporting the rest of our team, interacting with guests, and helping people discover everything happening around the farm.
You’ll need awareness, speed, and attention to detail, but also warmth. Guests will interact with you constantly, and the way you carry yourself becomes part of the Merridale experience.
What You’ll Actually Do
You’ll be constantly moving through the restaurant and patio helping create flow, atmosphere, and connection for guests. This role combines food running, floor support, guest interaction, and hospitality awareness.
- Deliver food quickly, accurately, and with care while confidently explaining our farm-to-table products
- Clear, clean, and reset tables so they feel welcoming, relaxed, and ready for the next guests
- Stay aware of the room and anticipate what the team needs before being asked
- Interact naturally with guests throughout service while helping maintain energy and flow
- Share information about tastings, events, and experiences happening around the farm
- Introduce guests to other tastings and experiences, including connecting them with our storytellers
- Support the entire team during busy periods and jump in wherever needed
- Help create the kind of atmosphere that makes guests want to stay a little longer
