Kozak Ukrainian Eatery is hiring a full-time Baker for our East Vancouver commissary bakery.
You will prepare doughs, fillings and baked products from scratch according to recipes and daily production plans. This is a production baking position focused on consistency, quality and efficiency.
Previous professional baking experience is an asset, but is not required. We are looking for someone who works quickly, follows recipes, stays organized and is comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment. Training on our recipes, procedures and equipment will be provided on the job.
Schedule and Availability
Shifts may include:
- Early morning shifts
- Afternoon shifts
- Weekdays
- Weekends
- Statutory holidays
Applicants must be available to work any shift based on the production schedule.
Responsibilities
- Scale, mix and divide dough from scratch
- Shape dough and prepare products for baking
- Prepare fillings and other bakery components
- Bake products according to recipes and production schedules
- Measure, weigh and prepare ingredients accurately
- Operate commercial bakery equipment after receiving training
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation
- Clean and sanitize equipment and work areas
- Assist with other bakery and production duties as assigned
Requirements
- Full availability for all required shifts
- Ability to follow recipes and production plans
- Ability to work quickly while maintaining consistency and quality
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to stay organized while completing multiple tasks
- Willingness to learn and accept feedback
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to safely lift up to 20–25 kg when required, with reasonable accommodation
