Inspire Community Support Services is a non-profit, multi-service community-based agency.
The agency is currently looking to fill casual Residential Counsellor positions to join the department of Respite Services. This position will work out of our Respite Home in Cornwall. This position is compensated at an hourly wage determined by the existing Collective Agreement.
Position Summary:
Responsible to provide direct care and support to clients.
Education:
Completion of a two-year college diploma in the social services or early childhood education field.
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of case management, respite program delivery, assessment, and evaluation methodologies, processes, and practices
- Knowledge of developmental disabilities and complex special needs
- Knowledge of office as well as the broader agency units and divisions, community and ministry partners, and non-profit sector
- Knowledge of relevant governing legislation, policies and procedures
- Knowledge of office productivity software and databases, discipline-specific software, enterprise software, and technology devices
Experience:
No previous work experience is required.
Please note: Must be available to work days, evenings, overnight and weekends.
