Job Summary
Small World MUSICFOLDER.com Inc. is hiring an experienced Bindery Sewing Team Leader to support and eventually lead our industrial sewing team producing high‑volume sewn‑edge folios. This role begins with a probationary learning period to master our materials, machines, and quality standards, followed by full team leadership responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain industrial sewing machines used in single-fold, sewn‑edge folio production
- Support and lead a small sewing team in daily workflow and quality control
- Train staff in correct sewing techniques, safety, and production standards
- Monitor output, defect rates, and machine readiness
- Apply lean manufacturing principles to improve workflow and reduce waste
- Maintain accurate production, quality, and maintenance records
- Communicate clearly with management and team members
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years industrial sewing experience (15+ preferred).
- Previous team leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong machine operation and troubleshooting skills
- Proven ability to maintain consistent quality in high‑volume sewn goods
- Effective English communication for instructions and reporting
- Ability to follow structured production processes and recordkeeping requirements
Assets (Preferred)
- Experience in bindery, sewn‑edge folio production, or precision sewn goods
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing, 5S, or continuous improvement
- Experience with workflow optimization or training staff
- Familiarity with sewing coated or heavy materials

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
