We are seeking enthusiastic and experienced Elementary Camp Leaders to join our team. As a Camp Leader, you will play a vital role in creating a fun and educational environment for children Kindergarten and Lower Elementary ages. Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement engaging activities and games for children
- Supervise and ensure the safety of all camp participants
- Provide guidance and support to campers during activities
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment for all campers
- Collaborate with other Camp Leaders to create a well-rounded program
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding camp activities and updates
- Assist with the setup and cleanup of camp areas
Experience:
- Experience working with children in a camp or educational setting
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles
- Ability to educate and engage children through interactive activities
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to connect with children on their level
Requirements:
- Must clear a Criminal Record Check to work with Children
- Appropriate character references
- First aid training - not required but encouraged
Wage:
$23.00 - $25.00 depending on experience. Those with ECE certificates do have access to the Wage Enhancement of $6.00 per hour.
Camp will run from June 29th to July 24th - Closed July 1st. This position is open to a Full-time or Part-time temporary position with the possibility of returning each year for a successful candidate. Hours are Monday through Friday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm or afternoons of 12 pm - 4 pm.
