Daybar is currently recruiting a well-rounded General Accountant to manage the financial transactions of Daybar Industries Limited and its related companies.
The ideal candidate has an accounting designation, experience in Accounts Payable, Fixed assets, intercompany reconciliations, implementing and monitoring financial controls, HST filing, account reconciliation, and financial statements preparation.
This job requires the candidate to commute to our offices at 50 West Drive in Brampton from Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities
- Full cycle accounting experience with accounts payable, fixed assets, HST filing, intercompany, and general ledger reconciliations.
- Review and approve vendor invoices from all 6 locations.
- Complete the month-end close on time with quality and according to the company’s policies.
- Prepare and post journal transactions in the general ledger.
- Review and reconcile balance sheet and intercompany transactions.
- Implement, document, manage, and maintain internal control and accounting policies to ensure standardized accounting records across all plants.
- Manage tax filing processes to ensure compliance with corporate tax, HST and other government reconciliations and remittances.
- Ensure timely and accurate payments to vendors and customer cash postings.
- Identify, recommend, and implement opportunities for improvement and participate in the deployment of new modules and processes
- Other duties as required.
Skills and Experience
- Minimum experience of 5 years as General Accountant.
- Minimum manufacturing industry experience of 2 years, with strong knowledge of purchase order, receipts, and invoice entry.
- Experience with Acumatica ERP SaaS software with a strong knowledge of the accounts payable, purchase orders, inventory, sales orders, general ledger and fixed assets.
- CPA in good standing (preferred).
