Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Camp Leader to join our team. The Camp Leader will play a vital role in creating a safe, engaging, and fun environment for children. This position is ideal for individuals who have experience working with children and horses and feel confident taking a group of children on a trail ride. As a Camp Leader, you will lead activities with a group of children and other staff. Your role will involve doing games with the children, swimming, horseback riding along with Arts and Crafts.
As we are a Children's Summer Camp this is a live-in position. For 4 of the 9 weeks the hours are Monday to Friday, the other 5 weeks are Sunday to Saturday.
Duties
- Supervise and engage with children during camp activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Provide guidance and support to campers, helping them to develop social skills and build confidence.
- Collaborate with fellow staff members to create a positive camp atmosphere.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the camp facilities and equipment.
Requirements
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- MUST feel confident on a horse and feel comfortable in leading the children in a group out on a trail ride.
- Must have or be willing to get First Aid Certificate.
- Must be able to pass a criminal record check prior to employment.
