Hear Right Canada is a locally owned and operated hearing clinic seeking a friendly, organized and dependable Medical Receptionist / Administrative Assistant to join our Woodstock team.
Our clinic operates alongside an ENT practice, creating a collaborative healthcare environment focused on hearing and ear care. We are looking for someone who is professional, comfortable with technology, takes initiative and can help keep the clinic running smoothly.
Community involvement is important to us, and we regularly participate in local events, retirement home visits, health fairs and outreach initiatives.
Responsibilities
Greet patients and answer incoming calls
Schedule and confirm appointments
Complete patient follow-ups and recalls
Maintain accurate electronic patient records
Process payments and receipts
Assist with third-party billing, funding programs and related documentation
Assist with hearing aid orders, repairs and administrative tasks
Prepare emails, faxes and correspondence
Communicate with physicians and other healthcare offices
Help maintain an organized and efficient front desk
Assist with community events and outreach
Take initiative with day-to-day tasks and follow through independently
What We’re Looking For
Strong computer skills and confidence learning new software
Excellent organization and attention to detail
Strong telephone and customer-service skills
Professional written and verbal communication
Dependable, punctual and responsible
Able to prioritize tasks and work independently
Friendly and patient when working with seniors and the public
Comfortable representing the clinic in the community
Previous reception or administrative experience is preferred. Experience in a medical, dental, optometry, hearing or other healthcare setting is a strong asset.
