Overview
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Person to join our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical, electrical, and facilities maintenance knowledge, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment efficiently. The Maintenance Person will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our plant by maintaining equipment, implementing repairs, and supporting safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facility systems
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues using schematics and technical manuals
- Operate and program programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to optimize equipment performance
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for work order management and documentation
- Conduct welding repairs and mechanical adjustments as needed
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and parts inventory
- Lead small teams or supervise maintenance tasks when required
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and facility standards
- Assist in troubleshooting complex issues involving schematics, electrical systems, or mechanical components
- Provide excellent customer service to internal departments by ensuring minimal downtime
Qualifications
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance within a manufacturing environment
- Supervising experience is preferred, with demonstrated leadership skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in welding and electrical systems
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and schematics interpretation
- Experience using CMMS software for maintenance tracking
- Ability to read and understand technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to manufacturing facilities maintenance
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
