Job Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable and personable Bud Tender to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, educate customers about our products, and ensure a welcoming shopping experience. This role requires strong communication skills, product knowledge, and the ability to manage retail transactions efficiently. Multilingual abilities, especially in English and French, are highly valued to serve a diverse clientele. The Bud Tender will also assist with merchandising, inventory management, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting products that meet their needs
- Educate customers on product effects, usage, and legal regulations
- Operate POS systems accurately for sales transactions, cash handling, and receipts
- Upsell products to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction
- Manage inventory levels through filing, stock replenishment, and merchandising
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales floor and storage areas
- Assist with basic math calculations for transactions and inventory counts
- Support team members with retail sales tasks, including cashiering and customer service duties
- Demonstrate leadership by guiding new staff or interns when necessary
- Handle heavy lifting of product stock as required
Experience
- Prior experience in retail sales or hospitality environments is preferred
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel is advantageous
- Bilingual skills in English and French are highly desirable; multilingual candidates are encouraged to apply
- Familiarity with POS systems, computer operation, and basic math skills are essential
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in merchandising and filing tasks
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with diverse customers and team members
- Experience in upselling techniques and customer service excellence is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during stock management tasks
