Ardrossan Junior
Senior High serves approximately 770 students in grades 7 to 12, with 35
teaching staff and 12 support staff. The school is located in Ardrossan, AB,
approximately 10 minutes east of Sherwood Park, AB. The mission of Ardrossan Junior Senior High
is to achieve educational excellence in preparing students for their future. As
a combined junior-senior high school, staff and administration get to know
students very well during their years at Ardrossan. There’s a strong sense of
"family" at the school. Ardrossan Junior Senior High is a dual-track school offering both an
English program and a French Immersion program.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Education degree
- Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
- Effective organization and classroom management skills
- Ability to create a classroom environment where students feel safe, supported, and challenged
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Experience or familiarity with analyzing data and using data to inform decisions and/or instruction
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
- Growth mindset and ability to use feedback to improve practice
- Relentless drive to set and achieve personal and professional goals
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training
