Job brief
We are seeking a candidate ready to invest time and contribute to our success starting as Junior Buyer/Purchasing Assistant. Your main responsibility will be to order distribution specific inventory (electronic / electro mechanic) in accordance with our company’s needs.
This will involve placing orders, tracking deliveries, and maintaining accurate records, including dates, invoices, and discounts. Familiarity with supply chain procedures and the ability to create and interpret cost analyses are important for this role.
Your goal will be to make cost-effective purchases while ensuring our inventory remains well-stocked.

Must be able to easily commute to our location near Stouffville ( Bloomington and York Durham Line ). Salary range 45k -55k depending on experience.
Duties and responsibilities
- Maintaining strong relationships and long-term purchasing agreements with suppliers and vendors
- Keeping open lines of communication with vendors
- Maintaining accurate inventory records
- Determining purchasing needs based on sales numbers
- Staying up-to-date with industry trends
- Comparing product deliveries with issued purchase orders to ensure there are no discrepancies
- Reporting directly to the Product Manager and the higher management
Assets and skills
- Work experience in procurement and related fields
- Good understanding of supply chain procedures
- Hands-on experience with purchasing software (Prophet P21 or similar)
- Knowledge of Microsoft productivity tools
- Knowledge of market research
- Solid organizational skills
- Related degrees
