Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled construction laborer to join our dynamic team.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform general labour work on civil construction sites.
- Dig, shovel, and help with grading.
- Assist with installing underground water, sewer, and storm pipes.
- Help the pipe crew with laying, aligning, and backfilling pipes.
- Load, unload, and move construction materials and tools.
- Operate small construction equipment and hand tools, such as plate compactors, cutoff saws, jackhammers, jumping jacks, skid steers, rollers etc.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe.
- Follow instructions from the supervisor, foreman, and lead hands.
- Help set up traffic control and safety signs when needed.
- Attend daily safety meetings and follow all safety rules.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Previous experience in civil construction or general labour is preferred.
- Physically fit and able to perform heavy lifting and repetitive tasks.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic, reliable, and willing to learn.
- Able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation.
- Basic knowledge of construction safety practices.
- Ability to follow instructions and work safely on an active construction site.
Working Conditions
- Work outdoors in all types of weather conditions.
- Perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Early morning start times may be required.
- Overtime and weekend work may be required based on project needs.
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
