JOB DESCRIPTION
We are currently seeking a Field Service Representative to join our growing team.
This individual will be responsible for providing after-sale technical support for Jastram products and systems. This is a hands-on role, working with shipyards and vessel operators to perform installation, commissioning, troubleshooting and maintenance tasks. The ideal applicant for this role is an experienced on board engineer, service technician or shipyard worker. This position requires travel 50 percent of the time (sometimes more), mostly domestic, so individuals must be eligible and willing to travel on short-notice.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and maintain strong working knowledge of Jastram products and systems
- Work with vessel owners and operators to diagnose issues remotely and in person.
- Work with other service and sales staff to ensure the quality of customer service is world-class
- Initiate and fulfill quotations and sales orders to provide parts and service to customers with a high level of accuracy and customer satisfaction
- Collaborate with product manufacturers for technical support and to facilitate information to/from customers
- Provide technical support to sales team as needed to support customer needs and sales efforts
- Develop customer documentation related to field service
- Travel to customers across Canada to perform commissioning and service duties
- Estimate and execute in-house equipment rebuild and repair work
- Complete all reporting, expenses, invoicing, etc. as required to bill for jobs.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Professional qualification as a ships engineer, marine technician, red seal or equivalent
- Practical mechanical and/or electrical work experience required
- Marine industry experience, such as shipbuilding and/or ship repair
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; French an asset
- Valid passport and willing to travel domestically and internationally on short notice
- Comfortable dealing with front-line technical customers
- Able to effectively and efficiently use Microsoft Office Suite, as well as Adobe
- Electrical data processing and CRM software experience or willing to learn

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
