CASSEN Testing Laboratories is a premium and advanced laboratory in chemical analysis with a strong focus on research & studies, occupational and environmental health testing, and specialized analysis. Located near Pearson International Airport, we have a state-of-the-art laboratory facility.
We are looking for a self-driven, highly responsible, and detail oriented Accountant preferably with an accounting, finance or business related background and a passion for success.
Responsibilities
- Handle daily sales invoicing, accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
- Maintain and organize accounting records and documentation.
- Prepare payroll data for Payroll processing agent and related payroll tasks.
- Perform monthly reconciliations of bank accounts and update bank transfers.
- Process receipts from clients for cheques, credit cards and EFT payments.
- Preparation of cheque runs for payment to suppliers.
- Preparation of WSIB and HST tax filings and other regulatory submissions.
- Administrative duties such as filing, data entry, and responding to inquiries.
- Implementation of internal controls and financial procedures.
- Preparation of financial statements and year end working paper reports.
- Preparation of financial reports for top management.
- Other duties as required.
Qualification and Experience
- A university degree majoring in Accounting, Finance, or business related field.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel. Experience with accounting software is required.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
- Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- 3-5 years accounting experience and enrollment in the CPA program is required.
Working days are Monday to Friday between 8:30am to 5pm. Occasional overtime may be required.
