We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Mental Health Therapist (MHT) to join a multidisciplinary team supporting a specialized youth mental health and addiction day treatment program for individuals aged 12–17. This innovative program integrates mental health treatment, addiction recovery, and educational support, with a primary goal of helping youth successfully transition back to community-based schools with improved functioning, coping skills, and emotional regulation. The successful applicant will provide individual and group therapy to youth experiencing anxiety, depression, mood disorders, substance use concerns, emotional dysregulation, family stressors, and school avoidance. Facilitate psychoeducational and therapeutic groups focused on coping, emotional regulation, substance use recovery, and social skills. Collaborate with Addiction Counsellors, Clinical Supervisor, teachers, and multidisciplinary team members. Support treatment planning, progress monitoring, and discharge planning focused on reintegration to school.
As a Mental Health Therapist, you will be required to use a variety of treatment modalities (individual, family, and group) to persons experiencing significant mental health difficulties. Working both independently and as a member of a collaborative multidisciplinary team, you will provide evidence informed and best practices in crisis intervention, assessment, consultation, referral, case management and treatment.

Required Qualifications:
Master's degree in Psychology; or master's degree in Social Work (clinical specialization) including education in mental health assessment and psychotherapy; or master's or bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy including training and experience in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy; or master's degree in Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing including training and experience in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy. Active or eligible for registration with the applicable Alberta regulatory college.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Master’s degree in psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or related field. Eligible for registration with a professional regulatory body in Alberta. Experience working with youth in mental health or addiction settings.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in day treatment or school-based programming. Training in CBT, DBT, or trauma-informed care. Strong group facilitation skills and ability to support complex youth presentations.
