Job Overview
We are seeking a dependable and experienced Hot Shot Driver to join our team. This role involves delivering urgent freight efficiently and safely across various locations. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience with warehouse operations. Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles for the transportation of time-sensitive freight
- Load and unload cargo using equipment such as forklifts when necessary
- Ensure all shipments are secured properly before transit
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance
- Assist with moving freight within warehouses or loading docks as needed
- Provide excellent customer service by representing the company professionally during deliveries
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during operations
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Experience in commercial driving, preferably with hot shot or expedited freight delivery
- Warehouse experience, including moving and forklift operation, is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks regularly
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and clients effectively
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to heavy lifting, vehicle operation, and warehouse environments
- Excellent time management skills to meet tight delivery schedules
- Reliable transportation for commuting to and from work place
- Experience with driving truck and trailer
Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
