We’re looking for a Barista to join the team at Bar Bijou, a café and work space in downtown Collingwood. You’ll be responsible for crafting quality coffee and drinks, supporting smooth day-to-day service, and helping create a welcoming, productive environment for guests. You will:
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and espresso-based drinks with consistency and care
- Support smooth daily service by maintaining an organized, efficient café and workspace
- Greet and assist guests, creating a welcoming and positive environment
- Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the café, service areas, and seating/work spaces
- Communicate clearly with the team to support flow, pacing, and guest experience
- Anticipate guest needs and provide attentive, friendly service throughout the day
- Ensure all beverages and items meet brand standards for quality and presentation
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including restocking and setup/teardown
- Contribute to a calm, polished, and productive atmosphere for both guests and coworkers

What You Bring:
- Minimum 1 year of barista experience
- Strong knowledge of espresso preparation, milk texturing, and drink consistency
- Latte art skills considered a strong asset
- A genuine passion for café culture, coffee quality, and guest experience
- Ability to work efficiently and calmly in a fast-paced café setting
- A friendly, professional approach with a focus on hospitality
