About Kootenay Woodstoves
Kootenay Woodstoves is a long-standing local business specializing in wood, gas, and electric fireplaces, stoves, chimney systems, venting, outdoor living products, service, and installation.
We are a small team, which means every person plays an important role. We are looking for someone reliable, practical, and willing to learn who can support the store, warehouse, customers, and installation team as needed.
About the role
This is a varied, hands-on support role.
The main home base for this position will be our showroom and store, where you will help answer phones, support customers, search for parts, assist with product information, and help keep daily operations moving.
At the same time, this is not only a desk job. You will also be expected to help in the warehouse and occasionally support our installation crew in the field. This may include lifting, organizing materials, loading vehicles, helping prepare job materials, and assisting installers on job sites.
This role is planned as 4 days per week, approximately 32 hours per week, with the possibility of working a 5th day when needed during busier periods, staff coverage gaps, or operational demand.
Over time, the right person will gradually learn more about scheduling, customer follow-up, product sales, heating appliances, venting systems, and job coordination.

Field support
- Occasionally assist installation crews on job sites.
- Help carry, stage, and organize tools and materials.
