Our client is seeking a Senior Advisor, Business Intelligence to provide advanced data analytics and business intelligence support with a focus on Integrated Resource Planning (IRP). This role will lead complex analytical initiatives, develop predictive models, support business decision-making through data-driven insights, and collaborate with stakeholders to drive continuous improvement and innovation.

What's the Job?
- Lead complex analytical projects from inception to completion, including defining business problems, conducting data exploration, developing hypotheses, and validating findings and recommendations.
- Develop, apply, and validate statistical regression, forecasting, and predictive models using large and complex datasets.
- Monitor, optimize, and maintain analytical models to ensure continued accuracy, reliability, and business relevance.
- Design, develop, and maintain advanced dashboards in Microsoft Azure Databricks to support business validation processes and analytical solutions.
- Collaborate with business users to validate machine learning and predictive model outputs using Excel and other analytical tools.
- Perform exploratory data analysis to uncover trends, patterns, risks, and opportunities that support strategic decision-making.
- Partner with stakeholders to understand business requirements and deliver effective analytics solutions.
- Support and mentor junior analysts by providing technical guidance and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with data governance, privacy, and information security standards.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance business intelligence processes, tools, and capabilities.
What's Needed?
- Degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics, or a related discipline. Advanced education is considered an asset.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Business Intelligence, data analytics, statistical analysis, or a related field.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, and R.
- Strong experience working with large, complex datasets and maintaining analytical data environments.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure Databricks and modern analytics platforms.
- Demonstrated expertise in predictive modeling, machine learning, forecasting, and advanced statistical analysis.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship-building abilities.
- Ability to effectively partner with internal and external stakeholders to deliver business value.
- Experience supporting data quality, governance, and privacy requirements.

Working Conditions
- Office-based role in a hybrid work environment.
- Approximately 5% travel required, primarily within Ontario.

- Distribution Optimization Engineering teams to provide data insights and model development support.
- IT teams to support analytics environments, data integrity, solution development, and access management.
External:
- Consultants and vendors to review analytical models, gather feedback, and support continuous improvements.
