Groundsman/Woman Labourer Job Description
We are searching for a skilled tree Groundsman/Woman to join our company. Labourers duties include reporting to the foreman, assisting arborists, collecting and piling branches/brush, raking, lifting and moving wood, maintaining tools and equipment when needed, ensuring hazard-free/safe work areas and able to work with a variety of crew members in ALL weather conditions.

Tree Labourer Responsibilities:
- Carrying out all maintenance duties allocated by the Foreman.
- Understanding and carrying out verbal and written instructions.
- Assisting Arborists with tree removals, pruning, and debris disposals.
- Learning techniques and the proper use of tools from senior or more experienced crew members.
- Safely using tools and equipment like chippers and chainsaws to carry out maintenance tasks. (chainsaw license is mandatory, can provide for the right candidate)
- Ensuring all sites are kept clean and free of hazards.
- Inspecting equipment and tools and performing repairs and maintenance when required.
- Using the appropriate PPE and observing safety protocols.
- Reporting any issues or safety hazards to the Foreman or other relevant parties.
- Must be willing to learn, this position has lots of room for growth and development
Tree Groundsman Requirements:
- Previous work experience as a tree groundsmen or similar labor position
- Good physical strength, fitness, vision, and hearing.
- The ability to climb, stand, walk, kneel, and stoop.
- The ability to transport heavy items.
- Excellent balance and depth perception.
- Willingness to learn and grow with the company
- The ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- The willingness to work during unfavorable weather conditions.
- Show up each day on time ready to work.
Candidates with a current chainsaw license, experience with tree work will be given special consideration.
Pay will be based on experience
