Responsibilities
Reporting to the Production Supervisor, and collaborating with Operations, Engineering, and quality staff. You will participate in the kitting, fabrication, assembly, inspection, and testing of leading-edge Radio Frequency technologies used in multiple markets. Assembly may occur at the module, equipment, rack, or system level, and will require limited through-hole and surface mount soldering. Familiarity with relevant IPC and ISO manufacturing standards is considered an asset.
- Perform fabrication and sub-assembly builds.
- Use chemicals, adhesives, and compounds to encapsulate and bond parts.
- Assemble cable harnesses, including crimping and soldering connections, rack equipment as required.
- Align parts on jigs using templates and fixtures.
- Perform minor part-fitting operations.
- Measure parts and components against requirements.
- Work from drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), assembly instructions, and wiring diagrams.
- Monitor and verify quality; document and report issues; and contribute to corrective actions that support continuous product and process improvement.
Qualifications
- Experience working in an electronic product development and manufacturing environment.
- Strong hands-on skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality.
- Ability to sit and stand for extended periods and lift as required.
- Full visual acuity.
- Work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a range of internal stakeholders.
- Must be eligible to apply for, and maintain Canadian Controlled Goods, Industrial Security, and other security clearances as required for company business.
