Dishwasher / Kitchen Hand
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Dishwasher / Kitchen Hand to join our kitchen team. The successful candidate will help maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen while supporting the kitchen staff with basic food preparation and daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
- Operate and maintain the commercial dishwasher safely and properly.
- Keep the dishwashing area, kitchen, storage areas, and floors clean and organized.
- Empty garbage, recycling, and food waste bins as required.
- Assist with basic food preparation, including washing, peeling, cutting, and portioning ingredients.
- Help receive, organize, and store food and supply deliveries.
- Restock dishes, utensils, kitchen supplies, and ingredients.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace health and safety procedures.
- Support cooks and other kitchen staff during busy service periods.
- Complete opening and closing cleaning duties.
- Perform other kitchen-related duties as assigned by the kitchen manager or supervisor.
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is an asset but not required.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to cleanliness and food safety.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
