Banff DMC Inc. and IconicWest Experiences are sister Destination Management Companies who specialize in creating unforgettable corporate incentive trips, meetings, and custom group travel experiences in Western Canada. We are seeking a passionate, results-driven Sales Manager to join our team.
Role Overview
As our Sales Manager, you will be a key member of a small team responsible for winning new business and managing client relationships from initial inquiry to contract signing. Working closely with the Vice President, Sales & Marketing, your primary focus will be responding to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) with creative professionalism, planning & hosting site inspections, and serving as a proud destination ambassador.
Key Responsibilities
RFP & Proposal Management
- Assemble Proposals: Draft creative, visually compelling, and comprehensive proposals that stand out in a competitive market.
- Write Executive Summaries: Craft persuasive executive summaries highlighting tailored group recommendations.
- Design Itineraries: Build engaging sample itineraries that showcase a seamless flow of local activities, venues, and logistics.
- Develop Pricing: Collaborate closely with the product costing team to build accurate, profitable, and competitive pricing schedules.
Client Relations & Destination Advocacy
- Plan & Conduct Site Inspections: Guided by strategic program priorities & sales opportunities, plan exciting site visit itineraries that showcase the world-class destinations we represent. Meet clients in person to guide them through the destination, venues, and activity locations.
- Act as Ambassador: Enthusiastically represent the destinations, demonstrating deep local knowledge and industry expertise.
Proposal to Program Handover
- Coordinate Contract Transition: Assist with securing supplier availability and key program components prior to contract execution and support the transition of contracted programs to the Operations team.
- Maintain Client Communication: Continue supporting client communications following contract signing, as required, until programs are formally transitioned to Program Services.
Qualifications & Experience
Required
- Sales Background: Minimum of 3 years of professional sales experience with a proven track record of closing sales.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional written communication for drafting high-end client proposals.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong public speaking and presentation skills for hosting VIP clients during site visits.
Considered an Asset
- Industry Knowledge: Direct experience in Event Management, Travel, Hospitality, or Tourism.
- Local Expertise: Familiarity with Banff National Park, and the surrounding Western Canadian regional products.

Pay: $80,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
