Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Helper to support our culinary team in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will assist with food preparation, maintain cleanliness, and ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Responsibilities
- Assist with meal preparation and food assembly under the supervision of kitchen staff
- Support food handling and storage procedures to maintain safety standards
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, utensils, and equipment throughout shifts
- Help with basic cooking tasks as directed by chefs or cooks
- Ensure proper organization of ingredients and supplies for efficient workflow
- Follow all food safety protocols and hygiene standards at all times
- Support the team during busy periods to ensure timely service
Requirements
- Prior experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred
- Knowledge of basic cooking, meal preparation, and food handling techniques
- Familiarity with food safety standards and sanitation practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills and good communication abilities
- Willingness to learn new skills and follow instructions carefully
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting or bending as needed
